New Experience

Today I experienced something new. Normally Damon has Tuesdays off...it just so happens that I did not work today. I was able to experience a Tuesday morning with Damon. He jumped out of bed at about 8:00 am, and said that we would be leaving at 8:30 am to go to the library. I told him I was not going, I had an order that I needed to get ready. Of ourse he makes a pouty face and says, "I just want to spend time with you!" You might be wondering why he would be going to the library at 8:30 am?? We show up at the library at about 8:45 and he jumps out of the car...to wait in line. This brought back memories of past "Black Fridays" waiting in line for that ONE item that you could not live without. Just a couple of mins. later other people get out of their car and line up behind him. I am thinking...do people do this everyday? Damon wanted to be the first one up to the movie floor to check out the new releases that came out today. He does this EVERY Tuesday...He loves his movies, and he can rent them for .50 and then take them back the next day. I say go for it...it beats spending all that money at the movie place... Happy movie watching! PS...here is a picture of my new haircut...it needed a good haircut. I simply adore the girl that cuts it!

Bad, Bad Blogger...

I have been a horrible blogger. I have so many other things on my plate that I take the time to check blogs and emails, but not take the time to put my thoughts down. I spent most of the day shopping with my mom and grandma...it was fun! I even got a FREE lunch out of it. I have bottles to finish tonight for orders that need to be delivered...and gifts to wrap. We are having Christmas with Bethany and Zoe in Chicago tomorrow! We are looking forward to that. We had a nasty ice storm this week. I think I will have ice on my car until May...HA HA, not really, but I chip a little bit off each time I get into the car...more later!

Full of Emotions...

I am thankful for the beliefs that I have. This week at school one of our first graders passed away. He had been sick with cancer for a long time. I had his sister in my kindergarten class. You know when the principal calls over the intercom for all staff to meet in the library right away...something is up. Josh passed away on Wednesday night. It was a somber end of the week at school. This little guy touched the lives of everyone that he met. Last night was the viewing...I went with other fellow teachers, and today was the funeral. I am emotionally drained that I did not attend this morning. I did however, pass by the funeral home as they were heading to the cementary. The herse was followed by firetrucks, Josh loved firemen, and many, many cars. Many of the cars were filled with co-workers who musterd up enough courage to attend this morning. As I sat in my car while the possesion drove on, I had tears streaming down my face. He is now at peace...he is not in pain...my thoughts and prayers go to his family that they may be comforted in this time. I will post soon with the story of the Christmas tree that our school was blessed with this week.

It is beginning to look like Christmas here in Northern Indiana. It is snowing outside this morning...looks tooo cold to even think about going outside, but I have to much to do today to be lazy. I am going to Card Club this morning, I have a hostess having a Scentsy Party early this after noon...and if I don't get stared soon on Christmas presents, they will get done in February this year. My SIL in Canada won't get her gift in time this year...UGH! Just wanted to check in...I will post pictures of last months card club ideas and this month's! Happy Saturday!

Gathering of the Greens...

We have dear family friends that have some big pine trees on their property. They are wanting to get rid of the ones that provide shade to their garden. They have an amazing garden. They had an wreath making party. It was so much fun!
We used this wreath making machine. The hardest part of this was cutting all the pine so that is was the right size. I have cuts on my hands today!
Kate the dog...seems like I always end up with a dog picture with my sister around!

They had a fire, food, drinks...it was a lovely day. I hope they do this each year. I had been at their house when they were making wreaths, but I had never made one before. I made two...one for myself, and one for my dear friend!

Just anothe crowd shot...and we brought out a keyboard and we did have some Christmas carols

These girls were the best helpers...they really got into the wreath making process.

Thanksgiving...

Here are some pictures from Thanksgiving...I could not get them in the right order...you can get the idea!

This is my sister and I!

Some yummy treats the were brought from Chicago with the girls!

Some of the Thanksgiving spread!

YES...I know that my hubby's pants are ripped. He had just gotten home from playing foorball with the guys from church. Sadie (dog) thinks she is a lap dog...she would not get down for anything!

This is me...(If you could not figure this out) and my sisters partner.

We had a great weekend! Hope yours was full of thanks!
