10 Mile WALK

Today Damon took a few boys from church on a 10 mile walk to fulfill a Duty to God thing and also something with scouting. Enjoy the pictures...I will come back maybe tomorrow to add captions to them!

Creative Sunday...

It was a busy Sunday at church today...lots of announcements and lots of things to do. When we got home we had nothing that we had to do today. We had a bite to eat and then watched a movie. After the movie we packed the pictures that we had hanging in the home that we live in. Such a sad thing to take down the things that made your house a home. Always an adventure in the Hatch house. While Damon was watching NASCAR on TV this evening, I headed down to the basement and did a craft. I have been wanting to make signs. I made two...one free hand painting the letters {I don't like because the lines aren't straight} and one I did with vinyl letters. Just it out...I think I will make several and put them in my Etsy store. I have to go and buy some ribbon to put through the top...it is almost a finished project. So sad that I won't have the great space I have right now to do crafts...ugh! Here is the picture:

Creative Saturday...

On the move AGAIN...

We are on the move again. The people that we are renting the house are coming home. We have only lived here since the beginning of February. So many mixed emotions...I had finally just gotten things the way that I want. The positive thing is that we can once again go through things...and do MORE sorting. We are planning on moving on June 14th. Keep us in your thoughts!

Weekend Getaway...ok...one day!

I spent one whole day with my sister..by myself. We had a great time! I rode the South Shore from South Bend to Chicago. This is the best way to go when you have a ride on the other end. There was a home Cub's game so I left early to make sure I had a seat. By the time we left Michigan City it was standing room only. There were people on the train that had started drinking on the way up...they were buzzed. B met me on the sidewalk with a Jimmy John sandwhich and a Diet Coke. That was double nice...thanks B! We then procecced to Macy's...B is having a civil union in July and wanted to show me some things that they were registered for. Here are a couple of pictures:

We then went shoe shopping for her to wear with her gown. Being "B" she did not want something plain Jane...so I suggested RED...here is a picture of the {sexy} shoes!

We then went to her place and just hung out...watched TV and had a great meal of pizza and salad...it was YUMMY!

And of course we had to have chocolate...from Europe. Once you eat a chocolate bar made with Cadbury {SPELLING?}...you never go back to waxy stuff!

Finals Over...

Finals are over for this semester. I felt a ton of bricks come off of my shoulders. Now on to tackle other things. I have to give a shout out to my cousin Brittany...Congrats for passing the bar!

Odds and Ends

Just when I think the weather was getting nicer...it was chilly today. Damon and I have been walking at night after dinner, and wish it was just a bit warmer. Tomorrow I am having a "Craft Day" with a friend in my ward. Her and her family have been in the ward over a year now. She has a mini craft store in her basement. I always feel like I just invite myself over...I know she does not mind...but I love just looking at all of her things. I picked about 6 daffodils from my yard...I did not want to pick all the pretties...but I needed some of those pretties in my house. I am hosting a movie night at my house on Friday night for some ladies at church...I will spare you the details of the long story...but I am pleased that it is still going on. Well...I must put food away from dinner...I am sure it is cool enough. Hope all is well in your neck of the woods...

SPRING BREAK...

It is Friday...the start of Spring Break for the school coporation that I work in...great for the students and "real" staff...but it leaves me without work days...that equals no money. It will be a week that I can concentrate on my house...maybe get together with some friends for crafts...and just catching up with some school work...getting ready for finals. When we moved into this house in January it was raining...snowy...muddy...YUCK! The other day I was driving along the road and glanced over at the side of the house and noticed about 4 clumps of daffodils...they have popped out and have given a bit of a glimpse of SPRING!! I love spring. It feels like winter has continued to hang on for a very long time. There is to be nice weather this weekend...I am so looking forward to this. My grandma Jo has made it home from Florida...I am looking forward to seeing her. Damon is busy with work...and also busy working on an online course learning all about selling insurance. This has been his nightly activity. He is to the part of test taking...I know he is a bit nervous about this...but he just needs to believe in himself a bit. I know that when he is all said and done with this that he will be very successful in doing this... :) Like my mom says...He could sell anything to anybody! Well...I was just checking in!
