On the move AGAIN...

We are on the move again. The people that we are renting the house are coming home. We have only lived here since the beginning of February. So many mixed emotions...I had finally just gotten things the way that I want. The positive thing is that we can once again go through things...and do MORE sorting. We are planning on moving on June 14th. Keep us in your thoughts!

Weekend Getaway...ok...one day!

I spent one whole day with my sister..by myself. We had a great time! I rode the South Shore from South Bend to Chicago. This is the best way to go when you have a ride on the other end. There was a home Cub's game so I left early to make sure I had a seat. By the time we left Michigan City it was standing room only. There were people on the train that had started drinking on the way up...they were buzzed. B met me on the sidewalk with a Jimmy John sandwhich and a Diet Coke. That was double nice...thanks B! We then procecced to Macy's...B is having a civil union in July and wanted to show me some things that they were registered for. Here are a couple of pictures:

{I got a little ill looking down! }

{I love seeing all the towels...}

We then went shoe shopping for her to wear with her gown. Being "B" she did not want something plain Jane...so I suggested RED...here is a picture of the {sexy} shoes!
{This is the girl who wore red & white striped socks in a concert...everyone else were plain jane's in all black!}

We then went to her place and just hung out...watched TV and had a great meal of pizza and salad...it was YUMMY!

And of course we had to have chocolate...from Europe. Once you eat a chocolate bar made with Cadbury {SPELLING?}...you never go back to waxy stuff!

My favorite dogs in the world...Sadie {Black & White} & Kate {Tan}

My sister and I! I love you!

Odds and Ends

Just when I think the weather was getting nicer...it was chilly today. Damon and I have been walking at night after dinner, and wish it was just a bit warmer. Tomorrow I am having a "Craft Day" with a friend in my ward. Her and her family have been in the ward over a year now. She has a mini craft store in her basement. I always feel like I just invite myself over...I know she does not mind...but I love just looking at all of her things. I picked about 6 daffodils from my yard...I did not want to pick all the pretties...but I needed some of those pretties in my house. I am hosting a movie night at my house on Friday night for some ladies at church...I will spare you the details of the long story...but I am pleased that it is still going on. Well...I must put food away from dinner...I am sure it is cool enough. Hope all is well in your neck of the woods...

SPRING BREAK...

It is Friday...the start of Spring Break for the school coporation that I work in...great for the students and "real" staff...but it leaves me without work days...that equals no money. It will be a week that I can concentrate on my house...maybe get together with some friends for crafts...and just catching up with some school work...getting ready for finals. When we moved into this house in January it was raining...snowy...muddy...YUCK! The other day I was driving along the road and glanced over at the side of the house and noticed about 4 clumps of daffodils...they have popped out and have given a bit of a glimpse of SPRING!! I love spring. It feels like winter has continued to hang on for a very long time. There is to be nice weather this weekend...I am so looking forward to this. My grandma Jo has made it home from Florida...I am looking forward to seeing her. Damon is busy with work...and also busy working on an online course learning all about selling insurance. This has been his nightly activity. He is to the part of test taking...I know he is a bit nervous about this...but he just needs to believe in himself a bit. I know that when he is all said and done with this that he will be very successful in doing this... :) Like my mom says...He could sell anything to anybody! Well...I was just checking in! Hope you all are happy and healthy!

Stampin' up!

Hello! When I walked out the door this morning to go to work it was 50 degrees outside. I was actually excited to see the huge puddle at the end of the driveway. That means that the snow had melted over night. By the time I left work this afternoon it was 35 out...YIKES...we are maybe to get more snow tomorrow and into the night. I am sooo tired of snow. I am ready for the new flower buds to peek through the soil. Anyway...I went to the best party last night at my mom's house. I have always tried to be crafty and amuze myself. My mom's neighbor is a Stampin' up demonstrator and did a workshop. I had so much fun! If you have the right tools...you can make amazing things in a short amount of time. We made these two projects and they were so EASY! We are going to start a "Club"! I am so excited about this. Not only do you get the chance to make some incredible things, but you also get the chance to host a "Club" Party during the year and benefit from all the free things. The one thing that you have to do is spend $25.00 at each show...it makes it fair to the others who will be "Hosting" a show. We are getting ready to set up my small craft area in the basement...it will be nice to have all of my things in one place. We have been able to get some tables out of my grandma's church that are not being used anymore. They are long and are going to work great! Damon is off of work this week....he is doing a great job of getting ther est of the house put in order. He also made a YUMMY dinner tonight. It does not bother me that he cooks! He said that it is my turn to relax this week. I am pooped. I have had 3 non-stop days...and I am really going to crash soon. We hope that you are well...I will blog soon about my amazing weekend at Time Out For Women. Such a time to reflect on our lives...and make some small changes tomake things better!
Hugs to all!

WOW...

It is amazing how fast time goes. I took a look at this blog and thought...wow...I have not blogged in a long time. We have moved into our new place and we are loving the space. We are still working one tote at a time to unpack. When we unpack, we goes through things and see if we really need to have that in our home. The night that we moved it was raining horribly...things got broke...ugh...people were in a BIG hurry...and the furniture got muddy...it all works out in the end. I am heading to Time Out For Women with my mom and some girlfriends this weekend in Chicago. I am looking forward to this...I am busy with school (College) and working when I can. Damon celebrated his 35th birthday last week...he says he is becoming an OLD man...ha ha. Well...I must get back to study the European countries...many new ones since the split of the former USSR.

Winter Wonderland...

We are having a beautiful snow storm. So far we have had close to 12-13 inches of snow with more snow coming tonight. We are two of the few crazy people that have been out in it today. We have taken down all of our Christmas decorations, and out small little home looks very bare. Tomorrow is the day when I am going to do some deep cleaning. This is a new year, so I need to think of those things that I want to work on this year. I have come to the decison to keep my goals short...that way I won't feel overwhelmed. Well...I am off to go spend the rest of the evening with my husband.

Happy New Year!
